AVS holiday closures 2020

May 12, 2019

Due to the ongoing difficulty in finding specialist veterinary and nursing cover for any more than a few days at a time and the fact that since AVS’s  inception in 2010, Richard and Carli have managed no more than 7 days off at a time, we have come to the difficult decision to close the clinic for the first week in March and September beginning next year. This time will also be used to carry out necessary maintenance work, which is extremely difficult around hospitalised and
boarding birds.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause however with us not getting any younger we feel it is our only option to ensure appropriate time off to recharge and allow us to continue to provide such a high standard of independent and personal care to all of our clients and their birds for many years to come!

Veterinary practices that we recommend when the clinic is closed include – Birch Heath Veterinary clinic (Tarporley), Cheshire Pet (Holmes Chapel), Ashleigh Vets (Manchester), Chine house vets (Loughborough) and Rutland house (St. Helens), The Veterinary health centre (Lytham St. Anne’s).

Very best wishes
Richard and Carli
